The Bike Whisperer is Jeff Lipschultz of Dallas – Fort Worth.
Jeff learned to bike on two wheels late in life, both as a kid and an adult. He was over nine when he lost his training wheels. And he was over thirty when he got his first serious road bike. He’s now making up for lost time.
In this day and age of iPads, Wii’s and smart phones, the battle to get kids outside and enjoying the world around them seems tougher than ever. There seems to be more kids skipping past the two-wheeler for motorized scooters or nothing at all. There are many adults who want to start a biking program, but don’t know where or how to start.
As the Bike Whisperer, Jeff is making it his challenge to teach the world to bike one kid (or adult) at a time!
Jeff is also a motivational speaker. After crossing the United States on a bicycle (3,280 miles) in 2010, he reflected on how similar the achievement was to conquering business goals or other personal goals. It turned out, many people wanted to hear about this and Jeff was more than happy to share his experiences and relate how analogous to real life crossing the US really is. Feel free to email Jeff if you would like him to speak to your organization about setting and achieving huge goals and be entertained by interesting stories from the road.

Just found your site – great title and great concept! Getting kids to ride is key, especially since fewer and fewer kids ride every day. Our little guy loves his bike. Congrats on the cross-country ride too!
Thanks!
